Create-Alongs Are Back!
My most-requested event returns... now on Wednesday AND Friday nights!
Dear Creators,
Yes, you read that correctly — Wednesday night Create-Alongs are back! And I’m also introducing a second weekly Create-Along on Fridays!
So grab your pen and notebook, your laptop, your Gutenberg printing press, your art supplies, or whatever it is you use to create cool stuff, and join me!
What’s a Create-Along?
Initially, I called these sessions Write-Alongs, but realized a lot of people were showing up with other creative passion projects — knitters, visual artists, podcasters, and more. So if you have something creative you enjoy doing, this is the space for you.
Basically, I host a livestream where we all hang out from 7-9 pm CT and get some creative work done. I stream simultaneously from Twitch and YouTube, so you can pick whichever platform works best for you.
I’ll start the livestream 10-15 minutes early so you can grab coffee or tea and get comfortable, and then at 7:00 we’ll start with a casual chat about creativity. And no, you will not have to appear on camera! I’ll be hosting the livestream and reading your comments/answering your questions via the chat on Twitch and YouTube.
Then, we’ll get into writing (or knitting/painting/podcasting, etc.) for about an hour and a half, during which I’ll mute my microphone and write with you, and finally, around 8:45 pm CT, we’ll return and chat about how it went, if you ran into any roadblocks, had a major breakthrough, etc.! It really is a great time.
The Friday Create-Alongs will be a little longer and a little more free-form, but overall very similar. You can attend either livestream whenever you like.

What’s the Schedule?
We’ll start next Wednesday, March 26, 2025 on Twitch and YouTube — your choice.
Wednesdays: 7:00 - 9:00 pm CT (Central Time)
Fridays: 5:00 - 9:00 pm CT (Central Time)
Who Can Attend?
Create-Alongs are FREE and open to writers and creators of all ages and skill levels, from hobbyists to pros. There are no prerequisites for attending, though you will need to provide your own tea/coffee/snacks.
(Note: It is extremely important to me that the Create-Alongs remain a safe and encouraging space for everyone, so anyone who engages in cruelty, bullying, or other misconduct will be kicked out. Sorry, not sorry.)
How Do I Join?
Just follow me on Twitch or subscribe to my YouTube, and you should receive notifications when I go live. Otherwise, just climb aboard Twitch or YouTube during the scheduled times and get ready to get creative!
