My biggest issue right now is community- I am writing but I feel like I need community . Accountability? I think that pushes me forward. Writing and momentum and discussion work so well together…
Do you know about Sarah's Wednesday and Friday evening writing livestreams? You can show up, find a community already there and get some quiet time in for writing. She's on Twitch and YouTube. Wednesay is 7 PM to 9 PM Central and Friday is 5 PM to 9 PM Central (I believe). Friday's is longer and very much "show up when you want, stay as long as you want, get a little writing in and enjoy the ambience".
Just attempting to get a long-gestated novel project into the air, so your new post/podcast is particularly appreciated! Thanks for the thoughtful content.
Are you ever going to continue the "Girl in Space" podcast? Loved that podcast so much I became a paid subscriber. Think I was a subscriber for about 2 years (much longer than the podcast ran) before I figured you just quit "Girl in Space".
I'm hoping you'll start again at some point.
I'm not a writer, so if "Girl in Space" is dead, please remove me from your mailing list.
Hi Jeffrey! Thank you, first and foremost, for your support over the years. I truly appreciate it! And the good news (I hope) is that I haven't quit "Girl In Space" -- it's just taking me an unreasonably long time to write and produce. I don't have a release date for it yet, but Season 2 is coming. And if you'd like updates on just "GIS" (and not writing-related stuff), I have a separate list/Substack for "Girl In Space" here! https://substack.com/@girlinspace
Again, thank you for listening and supporting the work I do. And thank you, too, for your patience as I work to make the next season as amazing as possible!
Great advice for any creator...I'm not a writer but I needed all this to start quilting, a thing I'd always wanted to do but thought I'd never be "good enough" to do. Finally I just picked some fabric I loved and starting sewing pieces together. It's now my obsession and happy place. My quilts are so far from "show worthy" yet they make me happy and keep others warm. I guess Nike was right...just do it. :)

Yes. I never realized how much I needed community until I didn't have it. Let's get things rolling!

Thank you, Jimmie! :)
This was also very badly written but I’m tired lol
Haha I feel that!

Thank you for saying that, Andre, and all the best as you work on your novel!

I love it! Diving into the "trial and error" method really works. :)
